In 2009, Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2 marks her fifth year of service with an extended Transatlantic season. In total, she will sail 25 Transatlantic Crossings, including classic six-day voyages between Southampton and New York, two eight-day voyages between Hamburg and New York, and two voyages between Boston and Southampton.
In 2010, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria will depart on their third World Cruises, continuing the line’s rich tradition of offering the most spectacular and historic World Cruises. Queen Mary 2 will set sail on a completely new, Eastbound-Westbound route on a unique itinerary of 101 days featuring 19 maiden calls, three overnight stays (in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Cape Town) and her inaugural visit to South Africa. Queen Victoria’s 99-day circumnavigation includes 12 maiden ports of call, three overnights (in Sydney, Hong Kong and Dubai), and three convenient U.S. embarkation gateways in New York, Ft. Lauderdale and San Francisco.
In addition, limited space is still available on a range of liner and segment voyages comprising both ships’ 2009 World Cruise voyages. Queen Victoria will sail a 99-day Exploration of Distant Horizons voyage, departing from New York to Southampton with stops in 37 ports, including 10 maiden calls, across four continents. Adding eight more days and eight more ports than her maiden World Cruise, Queen Mary 2 will sail a 90-day Epic Expedition from Ft. Lauderdale to New York, stopping on five continents and making seven maiden calls.
