Holland America Cruises

If you have ever sailed on a Holland America Cruise, you quickly learn how they acheived the accolades and awards they have received from travel magazines and cruise professionals.  Holland America Line is consistently the most accomodating cruise lines to passengers before, during and after the cruise. I personally have sailed on Holland America Line twelve times and rate them as one of the best in the premium cruise category.

The Holland America Cruise Experience: White glove service, formal tea and dining to the gentle sounds of a string ensemble or piano are as much a part of the Holland America experience today as they were a century ago.  These ships  attract people who love low-key, refined service that is nearly gone from cruising today.  Holland America Cruise Line's experienced Indonesian and Filipino crew is the company's largest asset, attracting a large number of repeaters who love the warm, gracious service they deliver.  Larger cabins and suites are another gracious touch.

As part of the premium line'ss $225 million dollar "Signature of Excellence" initiative, Holland America has introduced early boarding it s fleet.  Passengers may board from 11:30am to enjoy the Welcome Above Lido buffet, tour the ship and make spa appointments and arrange shore excursions until cabins are ready - usually around 1:00pm.  Carry-on luggage and coats can be checked with ship staff.
