The medium ships are designed with a more intimate setting in mind. You will dine in the evening at a certain time. You will get to know the people you are seated with at dinner. The staff in the lounge areas are more likely to remember what you drink before dinner each evening and what hors d' oeuvres you prefer. Have breakfast served in your cabin or on your own private verandah every morning. The staff is there to cater to you. The atmosphere is more laid back and you will be able to find an out-of-the-way space for yourself to read or reflect on your daily activities. Meet your significant other or a new found friend for an expresso drink or daily afternoon tea. Some ships have movie theatres showing newly released movies. Of course, you can't watch a movie without popcorn and a refreshing drink. Sit out on deck and enjoy the sounds of activity or watch the sea go by.

You may be as active or laid back as you want. Remember, this is your vacation! If you want to stay in shape while you are on the cruise, you can select spa selection meals while on your cruise.
