MT. PHILERIMOS
This distinctive mount rising 1,000 feet above sea level offers incomparable vistas of the island and the sea. Here you'll find the ancient hilltop town of Ialysso and the Church of our Lady, which was built on the ancient Greek temple dedicated to the goddess Athena and over early Christian catacombs.

OPEN ANCIENT MUSEUM
On a rocky hill above the village of Lindos, the Acropolis of Lindos stands as a portal to an ancient time. The construction of this medieval temple, fortress and shrine to Athena Lindia began as far back as 1100 B.C. In the spacious arcade, the last remaining columns reveal where the Temple of Athena, the leading sanctuary on the island, once stood.
